In which someone kissed a girl and someone else didn’t like it

I’m sure if you’ve been anywhere near a radio this summer, you’ve heard Katy Perry’s song “I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It”. So what was the response of a church in Ohio?

Because isn’t this the whole point of the Gospel? I dont’ know about you, but that sounds exactly like something I’d expect Jesus to say.

    Not discounting the song, or what it means, or that I detest it, even though it has a great melody and sadly, is hard to get out of your head when you hear it.Too bad they didn't pray for her, love her, or try to share with her the message of salvation, but rather, condemed her to hell before any of that. I mean, sin is sin, but, I think we are called to reach out to the sinners. YES!????

    If I was this girl (and yes, I know from what I have read that she 'used' to be a Christian artist and her parents are in ministry), it would make me run from Christians. Or perhaps, she has already experienced this kind of "Christian Love" and this is why she has 'acted out' this way.

    But seriously, that sign sums up how many Christians think. To them, the whole point of salvation is not going to hell.They like to focus on the sin we have been saved from rather than on the life we have been saved to: relationship with the One who loves beyond understanding. (He even loves girls who kiss girls.)

The radio's on and that catchy song comes on, I'm humming along, not really knowing what I'm singing. I'm kind of miffed at the whole church scene right now, then, I see that sign. And It reminds me of exactly why!
